Independent Advisory Group

The Gwent Police Independent Advisory Group meets at least six times a year and has two functions.  The role of the group is to scrutinise service delivery and advise Gwent Police and Gwent Police Authority how to improve services and recruitment to all communities within Gwent.

Membership of the group reflects minority communities within the Gwent Police area as well as having representation from the Police force and the Police Authority. Members bring their life experience and knowledge of their particular community and a willingness to act as a critical friend to the service.
