I would like to introduce myself as Superintendent Dave Johnson, your senior police officer for Monmouthshire.

There have been a number of changes within Gwent Police over the last year, making the service we provide even more visible and accessible to local communities.

As a result, the Monmouthshire Local Policing Unit has been formed, allowing us to be more responsive to your needs. To achieve this, we work alongside Monmouthshire County Council, the Community Safety Partnership and the many other voluntary and community groups in Monmouthshire.

Both I and your Neighbourhood Policing Teams are keen to understand the local crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour issues that concern you. We want you to be reassured that we are dealing with those things that matter to you the most.

To do this, we need you to inform us of any concerns or issues you may have. You can talk to your local neighbourhood officers, who are out and about in your area, call into your local police station or you can contact me in person.

Alternatively you are very welcome to attend the meetings we hold near you. A full list of Partnerships and Communities Together (PACT) Meetings can be found on our website, www.gwent.police.uk. We would also like the opportunity to visit you at your local meetings. If you are part of a community group, we will be more than happy to attend, please contact us for more details.

I look forward to seeing you soon.
