What we've done in your area:
Priority: Anti-social behaviour, Dog fouling and Speeding Vehicles

In June Anti-Social Behaviour through Marine Street and surrounding streets has been targeted with high visible foot patrols in the area. Groups of young people have been moved on from hot spot areas and Anti-Social Behaviour orders have been issued to persistent offenders. Alcohol related Public Order issues will not be tolerated and have been dealt with in the form of arrests. With regards to this offence, one male has bail conditions not to enter the main area of Cwm village between the hours of 16:00 - 07:00hrs on which they have adhered to. This example sends a message to others. The team has not witnessed offending vehicles on Marine Street but will continue to do random speed checks in the area and deal with any offending vehicles. The issue of dog fouling in King Street and its rear lanes is a new PACT priority for Cwm. Foot patrols have been undertaken in the area but at present no reports or offenders have been seen. Residents are encouraged to report any incidents to the Police on the telephone number 101 or the Blaenau Gwent Council 01495 311556. Residents requiring dog bags can collect them from the Info Shop on Marine Street, Cwm. Any dog owner witnessed not cleaning up their dog foul could be issued a Fixed Penalty Notice fine of £75.
