The celebration of Eid comes at the end of Ramadan. A time where Muslims all over the world take part in a month-long ritual, not eating or drinking during daylight hours and observing prayer. Eid is a time of reflection, prayer and celebration.
PC Khan said:
"As a practicing Muslim, religion and culture are extremely important to me, bringing me focus and a drive behind everything that I do.
"Throughout Ramadan, I’ve been observing ritual fasting and prayer, and have been given the flexibility to alter my working hours. This has allowed me to continue to serve the communities of Gwent while eating after sunset.
"This year my Eid celebrations will be a little different due to the health crisis however still just as special.
"To everyone out there celebrating Eid, on behalf of everyone at Gwent Police, Eid Mubarak."
