4 people arrested after man found with critical injuries at a property in the Shaftesbury area of Newport

Following our appeal for information after a man was found seriously injured at an address in the Shaftesbury area of Newport, four people have now been arrested.

A 46 year old man and a 37 year old woman, both from the Neath area, a 22 year old man from the Newport area and a 41 year old man from the Pontardawe area, have all been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and they remain in police custody at this time.
The 22 year old man who was found with serious head injuries, remains in hospital in a critical condition.
