Man arrested: Serious Road Traffic Collision on Pontygwindy Road in Caerphilly

We were called at around 7.40pm on  Wednesday 11th September, to reports of a road traffic collision between a car and motorcycle.

The collision took place on Pontygwindy Road in Caerphilly, near to the Piccadilly public house.

The male passenger of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with serious injuries and he remains in hospital in a critical condition. 

A  47 year old man from the Llanishen area has since been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving otherwise in accordance with a licence and failing to stop following a road traffic collision. He has been released under investigation and enquiries are ongoing.
