We are appealing for information after a man was found seriously assaulted at an address in the Shaftesbury area of Newport.
At approximately 11.55pm yesterday evening (Thursday 14th November 2019), the ambulance service reported that a man was unresponsive within a property on Tewkesbury Walk.
A 22 year old man, from the Newport area was found with serious head injuries and was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Officers would like to hear from anyone that might have noticed anything suspicious in or around Tewkesbury Walk, Evans Street, Shaftesbury Street and Glastonbury Close between 6.30pm on Thursday 14th November 2019 and 12.30am in Friday 15th November 2019.
We are also requesting any motorists travelling in the area around these times, to please check any dash cam footage for suspicious activity or vehicles, that will assist officers with their enquiries.
