Appeal for information following Co-op store burglary in Pontypool

In the early hours of this morning (Friday 1st February 2019), at approximately 2am, Gwent Police received a report that a white vehicle had driven into the Co-op store in Blaenavon, Pontypool in an attempt to gain access inside the store.

Officers attended the scene where the store front had been damaged by an attempt to pull out the ATM. During the burglary, the offenders were then able to access an unconfirmed amount of cash from within the machine.

Officers are now investigating and would like to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have any information on those responsible to please contact Gwent Police on 101, quoting Log number 43 01/02/19.
