Officers investigating £35,000 burglary from Currys in Caerphilly

Officers are appealing for information following a burglary of approximately £35,000 of stock from Currys in Gallaher Retail Park, Crossways, Caerphilly.

The incident took place sometime overnight between 8pm on Wednesday 30th January and 6.50am on Thursday 31st January 2019.

It is believed that five unknown offenders, have removed part of the brick wall at the back of the store and entered the shop, taking mobile phones, laptops, smart watches and tablets. Damage was also caused to the interior of the shop and tills.

PC Stuart Lewis explains: “We are now investigating the burglary and are appealing for information from anyone who may have any information about the incident or those involved.

“We are also reminding those tempted into purchasing stolen goods at a reduced price are breaking the law. If you are knowingly buying stolen items, you are committing an offence of handling stolen goods.
