Notice of a former officer hearing to be held in public - 10/05/2021-12/05/2021

 

A Gross Misconduct Hearing will take place between Monday 10th May – Wednesday 12th May 2021

The hearing will begin at 10:00am on the 10th May at Gwent Police Headquarters, Cwmbran, NP44 2XJ.  

Former PC 1998 Molly Parr will attend a Gross Misconduct Hearing to answer the following allegations:

 Allegation 1:

On 4 September 2019 whilst off duty in Cardiff at the Brewhouse pub you shouted at, and were abusive and hostile towards, a person begging for money at tables outside the said premises.

Allegation 2:

On 4 September 2019 whilst off duty in Cardiff in public places:

  1. you were verbally aggressive towards your partner Matt Morris and/or PC Mills and/or PC Smith.
  2. you shouted and used foul and abusive language towards and/or in the presence of Matt Morris and/or PC Mills and/or PC Smith.
  3. you made knowingly false allegations of having been grabbed by the throat by PC Mills.
  4. you used racially offensive language in the presence of Matt Morris and/or PC Mills and/or PC Smith.

It is contended that the former officer has breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in relation to:

Authority, Respect and Courtesy

Equality and Diversity

Discreditable Conduct.
