We are appealing for information following a burglary at an address on Avenue Road in Abergavenny.

The offence occurred sometime between 7:20am and 1:20pm on Thursday 9th February 2017.

The offender/s gained entry into the premises by breaking a patio door with force.

Taken from the property was a vast amount of jewellery, some pieces were high value and very sentimental.

Officers are keen to speak with a male who witnesses saw at approximately midday carrying a cardboard box with a pink plastic item on top.

The male was using a dark coloured soft top vehicle with the roof down, which was seen in the area at the time.

He is described as white and approximately 5ft 9 tall with short dark hair and a dark coloured jacket.

He was then seen to drive in the direction of Pen Y Pound in Abergavenny.

In addition, a small white van with blue writing on the side was also seen driving away from the area at a similar time.

The driver can only be described as having brown hair.

These males at this time are not a suspects but just witnesses and maybe able to help officers with their enquires.
