Witness appeal after collision in Newport

We’re appealing for any witnesses or any individuals who may have CCTV footage, dashcam footage or information relating to this incident to contact us.
We’re appealing for information after officers were called to a report of a road traffic collision in Kingsway, Newport at around 6pm on Friday 18 December.
The collision involved a car – a silver Audi A3 – and a male pedestrian.
The man was conveyed to the University Hospital of Wales by the Welsh Ambulance Service, where he is currently receiving treatment after sustaining serious injuries.
The road is currently closed southbound between the Millennium Bridge and the Castle bingo hall.
