A Newport man has been sentenced to six months imprisonment for burglary.
Kieran Davies, aged 34, was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court on 26 April after pleading guilty to burglary.
The burglary took place in Mendalgief Road, Pill, on 22 December, 2020.
No items were stolen.
DC Jon Sliczny, officer in the case, said: “The homeowners in this case were asleep when Davies broke into their home.
“Burglary is a clear invasion of people’s homes and can leave victims feeling afraid and vulnerable in their own homes.
“We will continue to deal with these offences robustly and bring offenders before the courts.”
