We’re appealing for information after receiving a report of a theft in Lower Bridge Street, Pontypool on Wednesday 4 August at around 5.40pm.
A man entered the Tesco superstore between 12.45pm and 1.10pm and loaded several items into a trolley, including 17 bottles of alcohol – notably high value spirits.
The man reportedly removed the security tags from the bottles, covering them with other items of shopping before leaving the store without paying.
He is described as white, aged between 40 and 50, around six foot tall, of thin build, with short black hair and wearing black glasses.
Enquiries are ongoing and officers would like to speak to this man who was in the store at the time and may be able to assist their investigation.
