Behind the badge.
Is a mother, a father, a brother, a sister. A neighbour.
Someone committed to protecting and reassuring Gwent.
A person responding to calls of anti-social behaviour, burglary, domestic abuse.
Providing reassurance and advice to support you and your neighbours.
There for you when you need them.
Back in September, we welcomed 25 new officers to the force as they celebrated their passing out parade.
Since then, these officers have been working hard on shift to protect communities across Gwent from crime.
This month, we catch up with one of these new officers, as well as a community support officer and an experienced chief inspector, to give you an understanding of the different people serving across Gwent – and an idea of what we'll be focusing on through the winter.
• Becoming a police officer.
• Working with our partners.
• Tackling crime affecting you.
Your neighbourhoods, your officers.
