Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
The Queen’s Birthday Honours List represents a wide range of individuals who have demonstrated an exemplary service and duty.
We are delighted to announce that Detective Chief Superintendent Paul Griffiths, a serving Gwent Police officer, has been recognised as part of the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
Currently the President of the Police Superintendents’ Association, Paul has had a wide range of roles within policing over his outstanding career.
Chief Constable Pam Kelly said:
“I’m delighted to be able to share this amazing news with our communities and our organisation.
“Throughout his time within policing, Paul has been involved in a number of complex cases and contributed heavily to the National Police Memorial Day Charity and Police Arboretum Memorial Trust.
“In particular, Paul led Operation Imperial, an in-depth investigation into Modern Day Slavery which resulted in a number of successful convictions.
“Paul has shown that being part of the police is more than a job, it’s an extended family committed to helping those in need and giving back.
“On behalf of everyone across Gwent congratulations Paul, be proud of your achievement, we are all so proud of you.”
