Man charged following assault in Cwmbran

A man's due in court today following an assault in Cwmbran town centre on Wednesday 10 November.
The 28-year-old, from the Newport area, is charged with two offences:
• section 18 assault
• possession of bladed article
He is due to appear before Newport Magistrates Court.
The victim, a 28 year old man from Rogerstone, was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.
