UPDATE: Markham road traffic collision

A Blackwood woman, 67, has died following a road traffic collision in Pant y Cefn Road, Markham at around 11.20am on Friday 9 December.
Officers attended to assist with traffic management, along with personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service and the Welsh Air Ambulance. The collision involved a silver Nissan Navara and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a then 66-year-old woman, was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, in Cardiff with serious injuries and sadly later died of her injuries.
She can now be named as Sandra Chamberlain. Her next of kin are receiving support from specialist officers.
A 39-year-old woman from the Markham area was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. She has been released under investigation.
