The woman who died following the road traffic collision on the A467, on Friday 13 January, can now be named as 59-year-old Paula Richards from Newport.
Officers attended a road traffic collision on the A467, between Crumlin and Aberbeeg, at around 1.20pm on Friday 13 January
Officers attended, along with personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service, Welsh Air Ambulance Service and South Wales Fire and Rescue.
Her family have issued the following tribute to her:
“Paula was the daughter of Joan and Colin Richards and older sister to her two brothers David and Philip.
"She was a loving member of the family, who was always looking for ways to help those around her.
"It will take time to begin to cope with this terrible accident and we know all around us will share our sadness."
Her next of kin continue to receive support from specialist officers.
