Officers from Gwent Police's serious and organised crime team carried out a warrant at an address in Tredegar on Monday, arresting a 20-year-old man from Tredegar on suspicion of:
He was later charged with these offences and appeared at Newport Magistrates Court on Wednesday 13 July.
During the operation, officers seized a quantity of class A (crack cocaine) and B (cannabis) drugs.
Detective Chief Inspector Rob Jenkins said:
"This week's warrant in Tredegar, during which officers have seized a substantial amount of illegal drugs, demonstrates our continued commitment to protecting our communities from the harmful effects of illegal drugs.
"The supply of such drugs can have a hugely detrimental effect on our communities and will not be tolerated by Gwent Police.
“The support of the local community is vital to this work and I would continue to urge people to let us know of any suspicious or unusual activity in their area so we can take action.
“If you have any information about the supply or use of drugs in your community, please call us on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
"Alternatively, you can send a direct message with information via our Gwent Police Facebook or Twitter pages.”
