Witness appeal following Newport assault

We're investigating a report of assault outside Spicy Kitchen takeaway in Commercial Street, Newport.
Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man was approached by four unknown men between 9.15pm and 10.30pm on Saturday 17 December.
One of these men, described as white, around 6 ft 3” and of muscular build, reportedly hit the victim who was taken to hospital for treatment.
