It's #ASBAwarenessWeek - an opportunity for us to talk about the negative effect anti-social behaviour can have on individuals and communities, and what we're doing to tackle it in Gwent.
Here's some of what our teams have been up to:
- Pontypool officers teamed up with councillors and housing associations for a drop in session.
- We visited Malpas Court Primary School to talk about the role of a Community Support Officer (CSO), our neighbourhood policing teams and show the children inside a police car.
- Pill CSOs and partners were in Maesglas identifying areas experiencing anti-social behaviour and putting action plans in place.
- We were in Rogerstone and Duffryn with Newport City Homes, speaking to local residents, identifying any issues and ensuring they know where and how to report concerns.
- We ran drop in sessions in Monmouth and Abergavenny with Monmouthshire Housing Association.
- CSOs visited Coed Y Garn Primary School in Blaina.
- Caldicot officers arrested a man after breaching a community protection order which was in place following ASB in the town. He is due in court on Monday.
- Officers in Magor are working with partners to target ASB and criminal damage at the MUGA.
If you're a victim of ASB, make sure you know your rights .
