A third man has been arrested following an appeal for information about an assault on Holly Road.
It happened at about 7pm on Thursday 1 June.
The 19-year-old from Newport is currently in custody being questioned on suspicion of assault.
Two other men, both aged 43 from the Caerphilly area, were arrested on suspicion of assault and have since been released on police bail.
The 35-year-old victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries and has since been released.
