We’re appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision on Cromwell Road, Risca, near to the Texaco service station, at around 10.30am on Saturday 11th November.
Officers were called following the collision between a white Audi A4 car and a pedestrian.
Officers attended, along with personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service.
A 91-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment. Her injuries are thought to be life-threatening.
Enquiries are ongoing and we're asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or any motorists travelling on Cromwell Road between 10.15am and 10.45am on Saturday 11th November, to contact us.
