The two-week educational campaign, starting Monday 11 September, will see our officers help keep all road users safe; including those who are considered 'vulnerable'.
The focus of this campaign will be on these vulnerable road users:
Officers will also be engaging with older and younger road users who are considered vulnerable.
The overall aim of this campaign is to:
RPSO Sergeant Dan Wise, the officer leading this campaign, said:
"Our priority is to keep all road users safe.
"The road users identified as part of this campaign are especially vulnerable of being seriously injured if involved in a collision. We are therefore committed to doing everything we can to raise awareness on how we can all improve our road safety, while also acting against other road users who may put them at additional risk.
“Our officers will be out across Gwent throughout this campaign, stopping those who put others at risk and educating people on how they can help to keep those who are more vulnerable on our roads safe.
“We will be looking to interact with as many road users as possible during this time in order to raise awareness and help prevent more people being killed or seriously injured on our roads.”
