We arrested a man from Newport after officers witnessed a suspected drug deal on Willenhall Street, Newport, on Thursday 22 August.
Officers later searched an address on Feering Street, where they seized cash and drugs.
The man, aged 64, was charged with being concerned in the suppy of heroin, and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A - heroin.
He appeared before Newport Magistrates' Court on Saturday 24 August where he was remanded into custody.
