On Friday 31 May, officers from across Gwent came together to help keep motorists safe.
The operation was led by officers from our response and patrol teams, and was a fantastic opportunity for student officers to learn from their peers as part of their training.
On the day:
PC Grant Nicholson, who led the operation, said:
“The results from this operation are testament to our commitment to protecting and reassuring our communities.
“During the few hours that this operation ran, the team spoke with lots of drivers to offer advice, educate, and carry out vehicle checks.
“Our message to those who use our road network to commit crimes or put others at risk by driving while under the influence of drink or drugs, is that this behaviour will not be tolerated; we are committed to keeping our roads safe.”
You can submit dashcam footage of dangerous driving via the following link: https://gosafesnap.wales/
