We’re appealing for information following reports of an attempted robbery in Somerton Road, Newport, at around 4.10pm on Friday 21 February.
Officers attended after a man entered the shop and made threats towards the shop owner before leaving empty handed.
The man, reportedly wearing dark clothing, then left the shop in the direction of the bridge over the railway line in Somerton Road.
