We received reports that four people had entered an unoccupied premises at around 6pm on Tuesday 28 January and were searching the building with torches.
Officers from our response unit arrived at the scene, when four people fled the address.
We swiftly gave chase and detained two people in the vicinity, before arresting a third boy shortly after.
Two of these boys - a 17-year-old from Nantyglo and a 16-year-old from Llanfoist - were arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal and going equipped for theft, while the 14-year-old from Abertillery was arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to cause damage.
The team was joined by a dog handler, whose Belgian Malinois, Kona, quickly picked up a scent and tracked a fourth person near Alexandra Court.
This boy, a 17-year-old from Abertillery, was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary with intent to steal, resisting a constable and assaulting an emergency worker.
He remains in police custody as our enquiries continue.
