A man from the Bettws area of Newport was arrested on suspicion of a drugs supply offence on Sunday 26 January.
Plain-clothed officers from the Serious and Organised Crime unit searched two cars and seized a quantity of suspected class A controlled drugs, cash and mobile phones.
A 31-year-old was charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A – cocaine, and conspiring to enter into/be concerned in the acquisition/retention/use or control of criminal property.
The man appeared before Newport Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 28 January where he was remanded into custody.
He is due to appear at Newport Crown Court on Tuesday 25 February.
