Officers investigating a fatal collision in Church Street, Blaina are appealing for witnesses.
We received the report at around 11.10am on Saturday 18 January and officers and paramedics attended the scene.
The collision involved a pedestrian and a van. The pedestrian, a 65-year-old woman from Blaina, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Her next of kin have been notified and are receiving support from specialist officers.
The driver of the van, a 31-year-old man from Blaina, is supporting officers with their enquiries.
Officers investigating the collision want to speak to anyone with anyone who was travelling along Church Street or were in the area between 10.50am and 11.15am on Saturday 18 January.
