The family of a man who died in a road traffic collision in Ringland Way, Newport on Saturday 28 June has paid tribute to him.
Officers and paramedics attended the scene of a collision involving two motorbikes - a black Yamaha and a red Kawasaki - at around 6.40pm on Saturday 28 June.
The rider of the Kawasaki, a 40-year-old man from Risca, who was pronounced dead at the scene, can now be named as Craig Willis, also known as “Laney”.
His family, who continue to be supported by specialist officers, has issued the following tribute:
“It's with great sadness that I have to announce the passing of my dad (Laney).
“He passed away on Saturday 28 June 2025 after a fatal motorbike accident in Newport.
“He was a true friend and gentleman to everyone that knew him and will be unbelievably missed by a lot of people! But he will never be forgotten!
“Rest easy now big man.
“Love you forever and always.”
