Since April 2015, our neighbourhood policing has been organised into two local policing areas (LPAs) one in the east, covering Newport and Monmouthshire and one in the west, covering Caerphilly, Blaenau Gwent and Torfaen.

Detective constable (transferee opportunities)

Gwent Police are looking to recruit detective constables from all backgrounds, currently serving with other Home Office forces, who have completed their probationary period.

We are looking to recruit qualified and experienced detective constables with skills and experience in managing a range of complex investigations, and/or experience of digital evidence gathering, dealing with cyber-enabled crimes, and those who have an understanding of a range of vulnerabilities and the appropriate ways to respond.
