Four women from Torfaen and a Newbridge man, along with a Corby man, were charged as part of Operation Arizona; three 17-year-olds were released on bail following their arrests.

Anthony ‘Tony’ Jones, 56, died in hospital as a result of injuries sustained in a report of violent disorder in Pontnewynydd, near Pontypool; his family continue to be supported by specialist officers.
Officers investigating this report are appealing for anyone in either Mill Road or Hospital Road in Pontnewynydd between 7pm and 7.30pm to contact them.
Shoplifting
The neighbourhood policing team is committed to tackling this priority through engagement, collaborative working and problem solving.
The team will proactively patrol hotspot areas, providing a visible deterrent against offending.
Officers will continue to conduct both plain clothes and high visibility patrols across the ward to target shoplifting. This is supported by the use of facial recognition technology and crime prevention tactics.
Crime prevention and advice will be provided at community engagement events across the ward.
Criminal behaviour orders will also be used in order to tackle prolific offenders.
