Between January 2020 up to and including December 2021, how many out-of-court settlements have been made?

 

For each settlement, please share a summary of the police wrongdoing e.g. wrongful arrest.

Between January 2020 and 31 December 2021 (A period of 24 months over 3 financial years)

68 compensation payments were made in respect of Public Liability and Employers Liability claims totalling £198,463.66

 

These were made up of:

Injury on duty – 1

Wrongful arrest / False Imprisonment / Malicious Prosecution 9

Loss of property - 32

Damage to premises - 5

Damage to property - 13

Breach of duty of care / other - 0

Data Protection 2

Negligence/ Breach of HRA – 5

Assault - 1
