REQUEST

The annual number of motoring accidents recorded by your police force where either the driver or a passenger of a vehicle involved was filming on a phone or camera. Please could you provide the data for the past five years, and break the information down by calendar year.

RESPONSE

Please be advised that the figures below are for accidents where the driver was recorded as using a mobile phone (this is general use and not necessarily filming).  We do not record any information where passengers are using mobile phones.
