- How many fraud crimes were recorded (or accepted from NFIB/Action Fraud) by your force between 01/01/21 and 31/12/21?
- Please provide the breakdown of Fraud investigations closed between 01/01/21 and 31/12/21 according to Home Office Outcome Codes (1 - 21).

RESPONSE
- How many fraud crimes recorded (or accepted from NFIB/Action Fraud) by Gwent Police between 1.1.21 and 31.12.21.
757 fraud offences (50/N Home Office Stat Classification for Fraud) have been recorded for this period.
- Please provide a breakdown of fraud investigations closed between 1.1.21 -31.12.21 according to Home Office Outcomes Code (1-21).
328 of the fraud investigations were closed with appropriate Home Office Outcomes between 1-21. Of the 328 there were 32 Judicial outcomes
1-8, and 297 non judicial outcomes 9-21.
FOLLOW-UP RESPONSE
In the previous outline of the 32 judicial outcomes this was based on the number of investigations recorded which did not take into account multiple victims per investigation. This presents a different figure for the purposes of outcome returns under HOCR. For each victim of fraud identified per investigation would require a separate Action Fraud report and a corresponding outcome, hence, the return of judicial and non-judicial outcomes will increase. The below outcomes outlined are therefore an increase on the previous figures given.
