As stalking is considered a crime the data provided in the table above has been pulled from the crime statistics instead of incidents. There has been a total of 3,196 recorded stalking offences between the years 2019 and 2021.
Zero stalking protection orders have been issued in the last three calendar years.

Whilst this is a request for applications which have been made to the Court within the period, a significant number of cases have been considered for Stalking Protection Orders. However, given the positive actions taken by Gwent Police during the period, including the swift charging of offenders and their remand in custody and significant safeguarding interventions, the legal basis for an Order could not be made out.
