REQUEST

 

I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information on modern slavery statistics from the Gwent Police. Please can you provide me with:

 

• The number of UK nationals who were referred to you from the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) for investigation in 2021. The current data provided by the Home Office (Data Table 9) shows that 83 individuals were referred to the Gwent Police for investigation in 2021, but the table does not break this information down by nationality.

 

• If this number includes individuals with dual UK citizenship, can you please note this separately from those with sole UK citizenship?

4 Iranians had NRM’s submitted for Human Trafficking abroad so no crime in the UK.

3 Sudanese had NRM’s submitted for Human Trafficking abroad no crimes in the UK.
