The number of arrests is based on custody footfall – this means that if a person has been arrested for multiple drug offences at one time they will only be counted once. However, if they were arrested on two separate occasions, they will be counted for each time they were brought to custody.
The data included in this answer is any drug offence where the offence title included ‘concerned in the supply’ or ‘possess with intent to supply’.
In the calendar year 2021 there were 8 custody records for supply or possession with intent to supply offences where the subject was aged 16 or under.
The data is based on number of arrests and as mentioned a person may be arrested for multiple offences at a time. The 8 custody records mentioned above are relating to 11 offences. Please see below the breakdown of those offence along with age and gender. PLEASE NOTE – Subjects will be counted multiple times if they were arrested for multiple offences.
