REQUEST

 

Please confirm how many Custody suites and the locations of the police stations. Please confirm how many cells are in use and the age of the Custody suite.  Please confirm the names and email addresses of the Custody Inspectors in charge of each custody suite. Please confirm the name of your CJ Superintendent or Ch Supt and contact details.

 

Do you use the Viper - North Yorkshire Police camera recognition system?

 

 

RESPONSE

 

  • Please confirm how many Custody suites and the locations of the police stations

 

There are two custody suites in Gwent Police – one is at Newport in the East of the force and the second is at Ystrad Mynach in the West

 

  • Please confirm how many cells are in use and the age of the Custody suite

 

Newport has 28 cells. Ystrad Mynach has 30

 

  • Please confirm the names and email addresses of the Custody Inspectors in charge of each custody suite

 

Inspector Roland Giles currently covers both custody units. [email protected]
