REQUEST

 I would like to request information held regarding Ty Mawr children’s home, which was based in Gilwern near Abergavenny, between 1949 and 1993. The home was subject to investigation by Gwent Police Force under the name ‘Operation Flight‘.

Information sought specifically relates to the following:

1. Premises known as ‘The Lodge’ at Ty Mawr, and whether this formed part of the children’s home itself;
2. Any floor plans for Ty Mawr and connected buildings;
3. Information regarding who would have been permitted to reside at ‘The Lodge’ at Ty Mawr; and
4. Any records relating to Barrie Alden and where he was residing following termination of his employment at Ty Mawr post-1991 until his subsequent arrest.

Please could you confirm whether the records sought (if available) are held in electronic or paper copy, given their historic nature.
