The below table provides data for the following offences: ‘Theft of a motor vehicle’, ‘Aggravated vehicle taking’ and ‘Unauthorised taking of motor vehicle’ for motorbike thefts for the years 2020 to 2021. The data is based off recorded date and not the occurrence date, this means that the dates are based on when the person reported the crime and not when the crime occurred. As requested, the data is broken down by month/year and by neighbourhood.
The most common stolen motorbike models are Yamaha MT 125 ABS. This is based solely on the offence ‘Theft of a motor vehicle’, ‘Aggravated vehicle taking’ and ‘Unauthorised taking of motor vehicle’ for motorcycles for the time period provided.
The most common stolen part from the motorbike is the number plate, this is based solely on the offence ‘Theft from a motor vehicle’ for motorcycles for the time period provided.
