Please could you inform me whether your force Learning and Development team provide specific training in trauma symptomatology to both police officers (regardless of role) and police staff in critical roles.
If you do, could you confirm
1) whether this is delivered by in-house trainers or by external companies
2) the length of training (i.e ½ a day / full day etc…)
3) whether this training is mandatory for staff
4) how long training in this area has been delivered (i.e since 2010 / since 2019 etc..)

TRiM – 5 Day course delivered by an external supplier, this is an applied for course i.e., officers must go through a selection process to be a TRiM practitioner and this has been delivered since 2017.
TRiM Manager – delivered externally, 2 day course, this is mandatory for wellbeing specialists only, delivered since 2022.
Re-Train – 1 day course, delivered internally, mandatory for all police officers and staff in critical roles. This has been delivered since 2018.
