2022/25383 - Complaints about internal promotions
REQUEST
I would like to know if there have been any complaints reported about Gwent Police’s handling of internal promotions since May 2019, particularly in relation to inappropriate actions by senior officers.
I did make an enquiry at the time and was told that there were no investigations ongoing at that time, but a number of officers had made enquiries.
At this time 3 members of the senior management team were under suspension for gross misconduct and being investigated by another force, and I would like to ensure that no allegations were raised during this investigation into the subject of my enquiry that would not have been known when I asked the question initially.
A&S finished their enquiry some time back, so any issues that would have arisen should be known by Gwent Police now.
The length of this enquiry should also have noted if any relevant cultural issues came to the fore.
