My request relates to baby loss, by which I mean pregnancy loss or miscarriage, following an incident of domestic abuse. I define domestic abuse related crimes as any incidence of threatening behaviour, violence or abuse (psychological, physical, sexual, financial or emotional) between adults, aged 16 years and over, who are or have been intimate partners or family members, regardless of gender or sexuality, as per the ONS definition.
Please could you provide the following information:
Per calendar year, between 2017 up to and including 2021, how many incidents of baby loss has your force recorded after an incident of domestic abuse?
Please see the table below. A keyword search has been carried out of all Domestic Abuse Crimes reported over the date range. The keyword search involved the phrases miscarriage and pregnancy loss. Using those two phrases as a means to determine whether the crime MO defines what the data request is asking.
