2025/28256 - Biometrics Data Sharing
REQUEST
I had read in a previous FOI disclosed by Gwent Police (FOI 2025/28124) that biometrics information of under 18s can be disclosed to private companies if legal conditions apply.
In relation to that, for the entire year of 2024, please provide a list of all organisations and private companies that had biometrics data shared with them from Gwent Police (regardless of the age of the individual).
For each organisation, please list.
- The total number of individuals who had biometric data shared with said organisation
- The total number of individuals under 18years who had biometrics shared with said organisation
In both instances, if deducing the 'number of individuals' requires too much work, I would be happy with 'the number of times that biometrics data was shared' instead.
