The family of a woman who died following an incident on Green Lane, Caldicot, on Thursday 4 June, has paid tribute to her.
Officers attended a property in Green Lane, Caldicot at around 3am on Thursday 4 June alongside paramedics from Welsh Ambulance Service.
A 52-year-old woman from Caldicot was pronounced dead at the scene; her family continue to be supported by specialist officers.
The woman can now be named as Caroline Jones, and the family have said:
“As a family we are devastated by the loss of Caroline and how her life was cut tragically short.
“We ask for privacy and respect at this difficult time.”
A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and has since been detained under the Mental Health Act.
Enquiries are ongoing into Caroline’s death.
