Our neighbourhood policing teams – made up of local officers, community support officers and dedicated staff – are committed to protecting and reassuring our Gwent communities.
By working closely with you, our local authority partners, key community figures and more, our officers gain an understanding of community concerns – and put measures in place to respond effectively to the short, medium and long-term problems affecting residents.
Vehicle crime

The neighbourhood policing team is committed to tackling this priority through engagement, collaborative working and problem solving.
The team will proactively patrol hotspot areas, providing a visible deterrent against offending.
Officers will continue to conduct both plain clothes and high visibility patrols across the ward to target vehicle crime.
Crime prevention advice will be provided at community engagement events across the ward.

Patrols of the area in high visible uniform in the area to gather information and intelligence. Speak to residents in the area for informartion- this can be conducted through the neighbourhood alerts app through sign ups.
Work with United Welsh in conjunction with speaking to local residents and rasing concerns and address them.
Continued partership working with agenicies. Attend number 9 Bryn Aber weekly meetings for resident meeting.
