A man, reportedly wearing dark clothing, left a shop in Somerton Road after making threats to the owner before heading towards the bridge over the railway line.
Mark Hobrough has 29 years’ service, including four years with Gwent Police, and has acted as temporary Chief Constable since August 2024.
We’re appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision on Portskewett Street, Newport, at around 12.50am on Sunday 17 November.
Four boys, two aged 16 and two aged 17, have appeared before Newport Magistrates Court and all were remanded into custody after a reported assault on Thursday 7 November.
Around 35 officers from several teams, including serious and organised crime, neighbourhood policing team and roads policing and support operations, were involved in the warrants.
